It is not a story from a galaxy far, far away, but directly from our beloved Earth. The conflict between the gnomes and knights began centuries ago when an ancient relic known as the „Emerald Crown“ was discovered by a little gnome named Neswor the Wise.

This relic, believed to hold immense magical power, became a symbol of heritage and power for the gnomes. The enchanted forest, sacred to the gnomes for millennia, now held an even greater significance as they took on the duty of protecting the crown from falling into the wrong hands.

Knights – valiant warriors who protect the kingdom from dark forces. They reside in majestic castles, training with their swords and shields, always ready to defend their territory. Knights are renowned for their bravery and honor, never backing down from a fight. Nowadays, knights have teamed up with mall security to ensure safety and order, especially when gnomes are causing mischief.
Wizards – wise and powerful magicians who study ancient texts and wield magical forces. They live in tall towers, delving into the mysteries of the universe and seeking answers to the deepest questions of existence. Wizards are the guardians of wisdom, and their magic is key to maintaining balance in the world. While gnomes and knights have already made their mark in the modern world, wizards remain undecided on which side to join, watching the situation from afar.

Interview with a Wounded Gnome Veteran

In the heart of the enchanted forest, I had the honor of meeting Grumble Stonestep, a decorated gnome veteran. His life story is one of bravery, sacrifice, and resilience.
Grumble, with his weathered face and piercing gaze from his one good eye, spoke of his lineage with pride. „My grandfather and great-grandfather both fought bravely against the knights,“ he began. „I followed in their footsteps, defending our land and people.“
The Last Battle in the Forest was a turning point for Grumble. „We were vastly outnumbered, but we stood our ground,“ he recalled. „During the fight, I was gravely injured. I lost the sight in one eye and now rely on this cane to get around.“
Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is a harsh reality for many veterans, and gnomes are no exception. „PTSD haunts us with nightmares and flashbacks,“ Grumble shared. „Loud noises can transport me back to the battlefield in an instant. Sleep is a rare luxury, and trust is hard to come by.“
In retirement, Grumble strives for peace in the forest he loves. „I find solace in my family and friends. Their support is crucial,“ he said. Despite his challenges, he remains hopeful. „Donations help us with medical treatments and therapies, easing both physical and mental pain.“

As I left, I couldn’t help but admire the spirit of Grumble Stonestep. His courage and determination are a testament to the strength of the gnome community.
